gutPractitioner—eating disorder cohort

What if I told you that you could have the skills to help your eating disorder clients with GI issues all while having a private practice that is booming!

When you learn how to help your eating disorder clients with their GI issues, you can stop referring your clients out, you’ll have better client retention and more confidence in yourself as a clinician.

And no, I’m not talking about Miralax, restrictive diets or all of the solutions that you have already tried that haven’t worked.

I get it. Working with eating disorder clients is challenging enough, let alone adding complicated GI symptoms to the picture.

It can feel like a constant battle of whack-a-mole

Hi, I’m Dr. Heather

Registered Dietitian, Certified Eating Disorder Registered Dietitian and Gut Health Specialist. For years I had an in person private practice that specialized in eating disorders and I was always frustrated by the lack of communication between the GI team and the ED team. It was heartbreaking to have clients sitting in my office, completely miserable with GI symptoms that couldn’t be ignored, yet I didn’t have the solutions or answers to help them.

In addition to that, I felt like a complete imposter. I had GI symptoms of my own that I didn’t know how to resolve and felt that if I couldn’t help myself, there was no way I could help my clients. This led to years of stress as a dietitian, self doubt, and ultimately burn out because I felt like I was burning the candle at both ends.

So, I made it my mission to really understand the GI tract and how I could actually help clients improve GI symptoms without having to follow restrictive diets, take medications that caused unwanted side effects, or have symptoms that impacted their recovery.

In 2019 I founded a program called gutTogether®. gutTogether® is an internationally recognized gut health program that to date helped over 1000 individuals find relief from their GI symptoms without restrictive diets by identifying the root causes. This is possible for you and your clients too AND its possible to have an incredibly successful business too. I am excited to teach you how!

gutPractitioner—eating disorder cohort

Traditionally gutPractitioner has been a more broad program for GI health but I have had so many ED professionals reach out about an eating disorder specific cohort and we are making it happen! This fall cohort will be a shorter version of the original program aimed specifically at helping eating disorder professionals navigate GI issues with their clients to see better results for not only their clients but themselves.

What you will learn:

Why your clients are having GI symptoms and how to determine what is causing them

How to interpret complicated testing and what it means for your clients

When testing is necessary and when it is not
